Targets at approx 15 feet distance

As stated in the introduction ..... I opted to use just one distance this time. Partly in fact due to time constraints but also because it allowed me to shoot off ten round strings per target, and so have a larger sample for chrono data.

I still instinctively with my R9 aim a little high and right .. for me the gun always shoots a bit low and left. You will notice however that the trend is still evident ... sometimes more - sometimes less, dependent on ammo being used.

WWB 115 JHP

The hole at 9 0'clock in the white suggests a slight tumble and just
below it is a hard-to-see shot hole. The low one in the white? Oops!

WWB 147 JHP

Dropped a couple here ...... otherwise not too bad. Again some slight
signs of tumble judging by soot rub-off.

Win 115 Silvertip JHP

In fact, still 10 shots but paper tear upper left makes it look more.
Not much evidence here of any unequal soot marking.

Win Ranger 147 JHP

Not bad for placement - slightly left still.
One shot at 10 o'clock shows a little unequal soot marking.

CCI Blazer (Al case) 115 JHP

This seemed to shoot noticeably tighter.
The round appears to be using Speer Gold Dot style bullets.

Speer Gold Dot 124 JHP

Again as with Blazer (same bullet) generally fairly tight,
tho tends to shoot a little more to left.
Slight evidence of unequal soot marking on two holes.

WWB 115 FMJ

I had some spare FMJ 115 WWB rounds with me and so threw ten
of those down, although I had already tried some in very first test.

Having added the extra Gold Dot test and also some WWB FMJ's, we have seven ammo types covered altogether.

There are three chrono categories for you to check out ....... Winchester, CCI and Speer.
