CCI Blazer 115 JHP (Aluminum
case)
First time trying this ammo. It appears certain
that the bullet CCI has chosen is the same Speer
as used in Gold Dot ammo. In my view the best bullet
available right now.
Having done ten shot strings and wanting to keep
same table results format as previous, I will''double
up'' with the entries in tables below in the row
showing String Velocities - also rounding up or
down with decimal components of chrono readout.
As before, the figure for muzzle energy is formulated
by using the average velocity from chrono readings.

The spread here
was expanded somewhat by just two rounds, one high
and the other low - otherwise figures quite close.
Expansion
test was quite favorable. |
This
ammo performs and functions very well in my gun.
Rohrbaugh recommend it but make the point that
the brass cased version is NOT as reliable. This
is due to the aluminum cases having ''sharper''
profile around base and so better for extraction,
compared with the brass.
